How much does the asthetic aspect of a guitar factor in your decision making process?

I can say honestly for me, it is not a factor.

The only guitars that look the way I want are the two custom shop Nocasters (Telecasters) I had custom built by Fender. Everything else I bought purely on how they play and how they sound and most of them are butt ugly.

How about you?

For a beginner (like myself) aesthetics is a key point I look for, though I can say being comfortable playing is a lesson learned. Sound is key too but until i get to a point where I can walk in somewhere and actually make something sound good I'm going to have to live with videos. It is hard to find any though with someonoe going straight into an amp, most have a gob of pedals going on.

That's why I really prefer Tony Polecastro's YouTube channel. He plays the same stuff each time and only uses a microphone.
